INFORMATION FOR DRIVERSThe main road network in Poland adds up to 18 thousand kilometers, of which 673 km are motorways, and 230 km dual carriageways. Poland is a member of a wide-ranging international system of such cards. Such insurance can be bought in the travelers own country, which will cost less than buying it at the border. The "Green Card" (insurance policy) is a form of civil protection of a car owner or a person driving it, should damage to a third party occur while driving the vehicle. The insurance guarantees in the case of any damages, the insurer will cover the costs. PUBLIC TRANSPORTPoland is famous for its public transportation. It is very easy and safe to use. Buses and trams (underground runs only in Warsaw) run frequently. You validate your tickets for the entire journey after entering. You can buy tickets at kiosks, newsagents, certain shops or post offices.TAXISTaxis in Poland are reliable and it is recommended to use reputable companies such as: Barbakan 9661 in Krakow or MPT 9191 in Warsaw. The average temperature in July is 19 °C (67 °F), but there are many summer days when temperatures rise to 30°C (86°F).
